When you reach the banks of the Oronte (in Arabic, "Assi" means disobedient because unlike the others, its water gushes forth at the south of the mouth), choose a room that best suits you in the resort offering all necessary material to raft in the Oronte, it's an opportunity not to be missed.

The resort has 24 cozy rooms. The housing, three meals a day and rafting along 5 Km cost you 60 dollars. Nevertheless, rafting at night costs 30 dollars knowing that professionals can do this sport throughout the year but between early May and end of November for amateurs rafting.

The rafting is a collective game; this is why it is more spellbinding. You will be at least 6 to 7 persons on a small boat wearing life jackets and helmets to protect yourself against drowning in case the boat overturned. Oars shall help you beat the current and lead the boat the way you want. You shall never forget to wear sneakers, long-sleeved shirts and shorts.

You will enjoy your time covering 10 Km and passing through three waterfalls: the landscape, the water streaming and your fellow travelers screaming are unforgettable. You won't be aware of what is happening until you arrive safe and sound. You will feel as if coming back from a battle where you lost all you energy especially your voice because you will be screaming unconsciously to encourage your fellow travelers to row better or just because you are frightened or very excited.
