Darb El Mseilha/Nahr El Joz

The Mseilha fortress is a fortification situated North of Batroun city in Lebanon, the fort was built by Emir Fakhreddine 2 in the 17th century to guard the route from Tripoli to Beirut, it was built on a long, narrow limestone rock near the Nahr El Joz river. Nahr El Joz is originating from two springs above Tannourine, the 30 km long river lined with walnut trees flows its way into the sea offering along the way magical scenery and beautiful old water mills.
The trail is starting near KFARHAY village down till you reach the course of a dry river (kour) until we catch the Nahr El Joz river bank and old water mills,
You continue the trail to catch Darb El Mseilha where you will walk in parallel with Nahr El Joz in beautiful surroundings along the way till Mseilha fortresses where you can end up your trail.
