📜 DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:
========================
The word “Hardine” is of Syriac origin, meaning 👻 fear or fright. Some researchers argue that the name stems from the words “haret” (alley) and 🕊️ “deen” (religion), owing to the numerous places of worship (approximately 30 💒 churches and monasteries) in the village.
In addition, the 💒 headquarters of the Maronite Patriarchate was located in Hardine before it was moved to Wadi Qannoubine.

The town was originally named “Kfour Al-Arabi,” in reference of being the residence of many 🏺 old generations. The name was then modified according to the accent of the local population to Kfour Al-Arabi. Others consider the town’s name to be derived from its Al-Arabi “Carriage” shape.

Roman 🪙 monetary pieces engraved with the head of the 🏛 Emperor Constantine were found in the town, in addition to a 🏺 historical fountain, an old Byzantine church, and sarcophagi and ⚱️old cemeteries on the mountainside.

We will get the chance to 🚶 walk the valley in Tannourine and Beit Chlela along the riverbank of Nahr 💦 El Jawz with the Green trees on a road dated back to the🏛 Roman Empire, where we can take a lot of unforgettable 📷 pictures.

🌿🥾 HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous
There will be divided into three levels

🏅 Level 2 (Distance of 3 km – 1Hrs approx. at a slow pace)
it’s only 👓 visiting the amazing landmarks.

🥇 Our hiking for level 4: it’s downhill, an easy and beautiful trail of just 8 KM. From the 💒 old caves of St. Hardin, we will continue along a trail leading to old mills, then to the 💦 river. We will also be able to 🔭 see rare views particular to this altitude terrain. The stunning ⛰ mountainous landscape, with🌳 oak and 🫒 olive forests seemingly defying gravity and growing on extremely vertical slopes, is 🌫️ impressive; the scenery is great.
Then we will continue from the village of Kfour El Arabi and head towards the 💧 river bank until we reach the bridges and mills of Tannourine Tahta village at Tahoun Bassa. Then by 🚌 bus will join level 2.

Our 🍞 lunch will be under 🌳oak trees near the riverbank.

🥈 Level 6 (14 Km approx.) will continue at Darb El Naher to Kfarhelda village, crossing the amazing 💦 waterfalls, and old mills, discovering cave churches and taking a lot of 📷 pictures.
