Marj Baskinta Hike
Join us this SATURDAY, April 4th, for a beautiful journey across the Upper Metn to the scenic plateaus of Baskinta.
Our adventure begins in Deir Shamra, walking alongside the flowing waters of Nahr el Kalb, before gradually entering the oak and pine forests of the Lower Metn on our way toward Zeraaya village. From there, we descend into Wadi el Karm, where we will visit Saint Simon Monastry. After the valley crossing, we continue uphill to Marj Baskinta plateau. Here, we walk beneath stone pines and through lush ferns nourished by the melting snow of Mount Sannine. Our trail ends in the village of Zabbougha, passing traditional Lebanese stone houses and beautiful mountain scenery along the way. 🌿
