Kfarhelda waterfall trail hike
Dear hikers,
Prepare yourself for a beautiful adventure walking inside a magical valley located in batroun.
Inside this valley, a river named by nahr el joz which is among the most beautiful valleys in Lebanon. It includes numerous ancient mills, old houses, old bridges, archeological findings. This river has a unique beauty drawn by the hands of God.
It runs through beit chlela and the fairy like village of kfarhalda, known as bsatine al ossi, where the most beautiful waterfalls in Lebanon exist.
Confronted by the water, the colorful trees and the plunging falls, you imagine yourself in paradise.
In this hike, we will start from kaftoun passing by kfarhelda, mejdel village and then kaftoun. Most of the trail has narrow paths near the riverbank surrounded by green, colorful landscapes and forests. We will pass by old houses, old bridges, small waterfalls and ponds, water springs, 750 stairs without forgetting the mighty waterfall of
Kfarhelda, one of the biggest and highest waterfalls in Lebanon.
We will have several small uphills and downhills, except one long uphill around 80 m ascent.
Don’t miss this event, because u will have so many reasons to keep your cameras handy. From the moment you start until the moment you stop. There will be scenes you’ll to cherish forever.

1- @ 7:30 am: jal dib near DHL and Banque Libano Francaise facing the Canadian embassy (we can pick our hikers that live on our way)
2- @ 7:15 am: near Al Amine Mosque downtown Beirut.

Max min Elevations: 350 m – 600 m – 350 m
Total hiking duration: 5.5 hrs
Moving time: 4.5 hrs
Required materials: hiking boots, backpack, hat, 3L of water, raincoat, sunglasses, sunscreen, healthy snacks, hiking stick.
Fees: 20 USD (including transportation, guidance, giveaways, but does not include medical insurance)
