Exploring the legendary cedar groves of the Shouf Biosphere Reserve

Join us this Sunday for an iconic mountain adventure exploring the legendary cedar groves of the Shouf Biosphere Reserve, taking on the full Barouk circuit!

Starting from the main Barouk Reserve Entrance, our trail leads past the serene Artificial Lake before connecting onto Section 19 of the Lebanon Mountain Trail (LMT). We will trek beneath the canopy of ancient cedar forests, passing famous landmark trees including “El Khetyara” (one of the oldest trees in the reserve), the elevated peak grounds of Masyif El Mir, and the majestic Lamartine Cedar Tree, before descending via the Aquafina trail.

As we cross this serene protected terrain, we will experience lush cedar groves, fresh mountain air, and rich local history while enjoying incredible panoramic views stretching across the Shouf mountains and the Bekaa valley.
