Ready for an exciting adventure amidst the hills of Hadchit?
We invite you to a relaxing stroll at sunset, one of the highest at an altitude of 1700 meters, Cornet St. Elias in Hadchit, where the landscape is magnificent, above the clouds 200m. You will pass through the peaks, giving the impression that you are in the sky.

💰 FEES:
20 $ including 🚌 transport (comfortable air-conditioned Pullman), professional guides, 5 minutes of warming up, stretching, and pictures.

📜 DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:
This time we will hike while enjoying the fresh air and watching the beautiful 🌅 summer sunset. So, don’t miss the opportunity to contemplate the sky and the nature of the region from the hill we are going to be. It is the hill of Hadchit, “Phoenician 🏛 Temple and cave: This Old Church of St. Elias located at an altitude of 1700 m above sea level. A big white cross stand there overlooking breathtaking views the southern branch of the valley, Wadi Qannoubine Valley.
Nomination. There are several stories, namely: Phoenician: (Hadash) new moon or half-moon, so Hadsheet would mean the “new one” or the “new village”. Syriac: It means one of the six temples that were built by Batlimos the 5th (Ptolemy V).
Our 🥾trail is easy, as all sunset hikes. We will walk ascendant for about 5 km to reach the top of the hill;
The hike will start from Hadchit Mountain. We will visit the important landmarks and get a clear explanation about them; for example, The 💒 Historic Monastery of St. Elias.
The «rocky hill of Hadchit» is a must to 🔭 see; it is one of the highest in the area, has panoramic views in all directions, a most picturesque 🌫 place where the sight and sound of the place will make you forget the city, your problems, and everything!
Hadchit is a village, known by its caves-churches and rich in remains of 🏺 ancient civilizations; we will remark sarcophagi, old historic churches, old grape, olive presses, and many ⚱️ Nawawiss carved in the rock.
After completing the trail, we will move by bus to Bcharre to visit the house of Gebran Kahlil Gebran near the Piazza, and will have the opportunity to seat and eat 🫓 manaqish 3a saj and boilled 🫖 tea, prepared by local villagers.
🌿🥾 HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous
The sunset hike will be divided into two levels:
🥈 LEVEL 4 plus (5 Km) will walk to reach the caves-churches overlooking 🌫 Bcharre and Ehden areas. They were recently built to accommodate people seeking spiritual reflections in silence. From there, will continue until the Cross, and offers a very unique 🔭 spectacle in all directions.
🏅 LEVEL 2 is the same, but it will just be a visit to all the beautiful sights there like a tour.
Hadchit’s hike and Bharre is not just a hike in very beautiful nature, and breathtaking views; It is also a cultural tour.
This sunset 🌅 hike must not be missed. It will imprint unforgettable memories of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
🎒 WHAT TO TAKE:
