Majdal Tarchich is located in a very strategic and vital location being the last village of the Metn district and the gate of the Metn district from the Bekaa governorate.
We invite you to a new exciting sunset hike in Majdal Tarchich mountains on Saturday the 13th of July.
We are going to discover a mountainous landscape, beautiful rock formation, a small cave and French military remains (trenches & fortifications) from World War 2, all in one place. Can you believe it!? And only 1 hour from Beirut!

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

New Trail in Majdal Tarchich facing the Zaarour area with a breathtaking Sunset & Bonfire in a remote and authentic getaway.
Have you had enough of the summer heat? Looking for a place to Refresh, Hike, Unwind in front of a Bonfire with a light snack (Saj, grilled potatoes, corn)? Book now!
The project welcoming us after the sunset hike is equipped with two bathrooms and a shower, so you don’t have to worry about anything, don’t forget to bring a light jacket, head light or a torch with you.

1 HIKING LEVEL

Around 10 KM – 3.0 Hours approx.) is an easy and pleasing trail.
Our trail starts from the top of the mountain, passing between walnut trees, water ponds, while descending to reach a unique square shaped site with an entrance to a small cave. We will discover the small cave (around 20 meters) equipped with the proper gear provided by us.

Afterwards, we will start to climb a small slope to reach a narrow and breathtaking point overlooking a deep pit.
Our last landmark on this hike is what remains of the French military posts from World War 2 where we will come face to face with the setting sun.

At the completion of the hike and the glorious sunset, we will gather near a bonfire at an amazing spot where we will have the opportunity to order a light snack (saj), boiling tea, and roasted potatoes.
After our stop and light snacks, we will head on foot back towards the bus for a walk of approx 20 min.
This sunset hike is full with beautiful & various spots for photos/videos to add them to your album.

WHAT TO TAKE:

Healthy snacks that will boost your energy include dried fruits, lunch, water, cap, sunglasses swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen.
