Fortress Ros El Franj – Belhasem – قلعة ابو الحسن

Reaching it, is a true adventure. It is good that cars are not allowed to enter it due to its location on a private land, this will keep pollution and litter away but the fortress needs a lot of attention.

Unfortunately, other countries are searching for a piece of history to preserve it while we are leaving our history decay.

45 min walking on asphalt road, 500 meters elevation uphill on the way back (hard).

Beautiful landscape surrounds the fortress, awali river passes under the fortress adding more charm to the site.
