Tyre World Heritage Site:
Ruins of Tyre – Necropolis
Amazing & impressive site, especially The Triumphal Arch. Had some difficulty to find the main entrance in order to pay the entrance fee because we entered from the Hippodrome section. The necropolis, constituting the principal entrance of the town in antique times is a must see.

Al Bass Archaeological Site, Tyre, Lebanon Attractions
Stunning location, columns everywhere and each column has a specific inscription, basins, baths and sarcophaguses. A huge site in terms of area and amount of antiquities, literally a city steeped in history. Tyre World Heritage site deserves more attention, and information and the site’s form in the past must be highlighted

Tyre Hippodrome:
5 min by car from Al-bass world heritage site, you will reach another grandiose site “The Hippodrome”. Despite the sun and heat we walked the whole site, entered the seating section and climbed its stairs. We explored the various arenas. The Hippodrome area is huge that it is impossible to fence it (Despite their attempt to) , which leaves the visitors with many unofficial access points. The place is considered to be one of the largest and best preserved Roman hippodromes of its type in the Roman world.
