🍂🍁🍂 It’s Autumn time! Ready for an exciting adventure amidst the ⛰ hills and 🌲 Cedars of Jaj?

We invite you to enjoy a relaxing sunset walk at 🌅 Cedars of God, located at an altitude of 1,700 meters—the highest point in the area. The landscape features stunning rock formations and is breathtakingly beautiful, perched above the clouds by 200 meters. Conclude the evening with a cozy gathering around a 🔥 bonfire. It’s a truly wonderful experience.

They are surely well worth the hike, for their majestic stature, their eternal verdure and, when there is a light breeze, their particular perfume and odors.

20 $ including 🚌 transport (comfortable air-conditioned Pullman), professional guides, 5 minutes of warming up, stretching, and pictures.

📜 DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

Jej is the perfect destination in autumn for our adventure. ‘’Jaj’’ name’s is originally Phoenician, meaning the top, since Jaj is the most elevated town among all the surrounding villages, and rich in remains of 🏺 ancient civilizations.

Cedars of Jej may represent the first GROVE to be exploited by the ancients and exported to Egypt 5,000 or more years ago and for the construction of the temple of Jehovah in Jerusalem in the time of King Solomon, about 930 B.C.

Some of the oldest cedar trees are there. They are the remnants of the large forest of cedar trees that once covered the mountains. All the area is full of natural rock formations looking like Statues making it a unique place to hike in and some wonderful sinkholes are there.

Between old and majestic cedars, they hide under their branches a small Chapel, which an Arabic inscription dates to the 1860s. It’s dedicated to the resurrection.

🌿🥾 HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous

The sunset hike will be divided into two levels:

🥈 LEVEL 4 plus (7.5 Km Approxim.) Our Geotrail loop is a perfect example of an exceptionally developed Krast landscape. We will walk to reach the Roman steel factories overlooking 🌫️ the Byblos and Batroun areas. From there, we will continue until the chapel, which offers a very unique 🔭 spectacle in all directions.
🏅 LEVEL 2 is the same, but it will just be a visit to all the beautiful sights there, like a tour.
After completing the trail, we will move by bus to the village where will have the opportunity to seat and eat 🫓 manaqish 3a saj and boilled 🫖 tea, prepared by local villagers.
This sunset 🌅 hike must not be missed. It will imprint unforgettable memories of a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

🎒 WHAT TO TAKE:

Healthy snacks that will boost up your energy such as dried fruits, a flashlight, water, a cap, and sunglasses. Wear comfortable walking shoes (A professional brand is recommended) and don’t forget to get a light jacket. DC members get a 20% discount on sports equipment in Sports 4 Ever branches.
