DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:

Laqlouq is a warm and glorious alpine paradise in the summer. Fresh air, rugged beauty, a charming pedestrian village, is waiting for us.
The sky and the nature of the region from “kornet el jraid” hill located at 1914 m above sea level are not to be missed. There are breathtaking views overlooking the river “Nahr Ebrahim” to be remembered forever.
Our trail is uphill and downhill for about 12km. We will walk for a couple of hours to reach the great Iron Oak forest in Ehmej”Al-Ozor” then Ehmej village.
Ehmej is the perfect destination for your adventure. Stunning views and friendly villagers make Ehmej an ideal destination for escaping from the city.
We will start our hiking by a visit to “El Aalaq” spring in Laqlouq between the majestic mountains.
HIKING LEVEL. 1 to 3 for easy, 4 to 6 for intermediate, 7 to 9 for strenuous

Our hike will be divided into two levels:
Level 4, (7Km. 2.5 hrs. approx.). It’s a beautiful trail between different forests. From Laqlouq resort and head towards a beautiful natural hanging stone bridge, where the group will be divided. We will also be able to see rare views like the 3 pyramids particular to this altitude terrain. Then at ‘’ Laqlouq Resort ‘’ will take the bus to Ehmej forest (El Ouata) and from there we will continue walking on a downhill trail. The track will take us to the great Iron Oak forest in Ehmej ”Al-Ozor”. There will have a picnic lunch together. After lunch, we will walk down crossing by Ain Nassouh to a vertical isolated rock known as “Qornet Raheb” or the Monk’s peak.
Level 6 (12Km. 4.0 hrs. approx.). We will pass through white peaks, giving the impression of being in the sky, will continue from Laqlouq resort uphill and head towards a beautiful natural hanging stone bridge, after upward in a dirt road until we reach Qornet el Tillaj (1899) overlooking the area, all the area is full of natural rock formations looking like Statues making it a unique place to hike in and some wonderful sinkholes are there. From there downhill to El Ouata crossing by amazing cave and springs. There will be minimal time for rest and photo sessions. (Level 4 will do this part by bus).

WHAT TO TAKE:

Healthy snacks that will boost your energy include dried fruits, lunch, water, cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Wear comfortable walking shoes (A professional brand is recommended) and don’t forget to get a light jacket. DC members get a 20% discount on sports equipment in Sports 4 Ever branches.
